A Smooth Path to Cyber Essentials Plus

The Challenge

A client who builds bespoke AI solutions for clients across sectors, managing a robust Azure environment spanning Azure AI Foundry, storage accounts, and web applications. As their business grew, so did the importance of demonstrating strong security credentials, which is what brought them to Nebulogiq. The goal: achieve Cyber Essentials Plus certification without significant additional tooling spend or disruption to their lean, cost-conscious operation.

The Solution

Nebulogiq began with a GAP analysis using our Cyber Secure Score tool to establish what was already in place and what still needed addressing before audit. Working closely with the client’s lead Azure architect, we focused remediation efforts on formalising controls, building out documentation, and ensuring everything was evidenced correctly for the auditor, aligning their cloud environment with Microsoft's Well Architected Framework and CE+ requirements throughout.

The project ran over 8 weeks, with workload shared sensibly between both teams. The client passed their audit and now hold Cyber Essentials Plus certification, a strong example of what a focused, collaborative engagement can achieve: robust security outcomes, delivered efficiently and without unnecessary overhead.
